Trauma and Immigration:

In continuation of the Alive and Well Communities “Impact Series,” a collaboration with community partners and the Kansas City Public Library has begun to present:  Trauma and Immigration.  Come and join us, as we explore the science, stories, and impact of trauma within:

  • History of immigration
  • Modern-day immigration and refugees
  • Implications of threats to DACA
  • Personal stories of family separation and the fear of detention and deportation
  • Personal stories of resilience and healing
  • Connecting resources
  • Ways to become involved
